I'm Galia, a professional headshot photographer from Toronto, currently based in the beautiful island of Barbados.
My journey into the world of headshot photography began with a determination to learn from the very best. I had the incredible opportunity to train under the guidance of Peter Hurley, a renowned headshot photographer from New York City and the founder of The Headshot Crew, the world's largest team of headshot and portrait photographers.
Since joining The Headshot Crew in 2017, I've been surrounded by an inspiring community of talented photographers from around the globe. Being part of this community motivates me to constantly grow and refine my skills. Through constructive critiques, advice, and mentorship, I continue to elevate my craft, always striving to push the boundaries of what's possible in headshot photography.
One of the highlights of my journey was attending the Headshot Intensive Workshop led by Peter Hurley himself. During this immersive experience, I gained invaluable technical and creative insights into working with subjects, coaching them to showcase their best selves through facial expressions and body language. As part of the workshop, I even had the privilege of photographing Peter Hurley himself, a challenge that pushed me to new heights of professionalism and creativity.
My goal is to create images that exude confidence, approachability, and authenticity, empowering individuals to make a lasting impression in their respective fields.
