Headshot Prep Tips for Women

I hope you're excited for your upcoming headshot session! To help you look your best, I wanted to share a few tips: 

Makeup

Keep it simple and light to enhance your natural beauty. If you don’t have any severe skin conditions, I recommend avoiding foundation, as it can sometimes create a cakey texture in photos. Instead, consider using a tinted moisturizer or a light cream for a fresh look. Keep in mind that photos will be professionally retouch and skin imperfections can be removed.

Hair

Please arrive with your hair clean and styled to your liking. Whether you prefer it wavy, curly, or straight, try to avoid sticky or hardened products. This will give us the flexibility to adjust and move your hair around during the session for the best results.

Wardrobe

  • Avoid Busy Patterns and Textures:
    Opt for clothing with solid colours or subtle patterns to avoid distractions and keep the focus on you.
  • Attention to Detail:
    Ensure all your clothes are cleaned and pressed before the shoot. Pay particular attention to older shirts with soft or floppy collars
  • Try Outfits On Ahead of Time:
    Ensure your outfits fit well and complement your frame. Avoid anything too loose or bulky.
  • Choose Classic Over Trendy:
    Stick to timeless styles to ensure your headshots remain relevant for years to come.
  • Smart Casual Option:
    If we're going for a more relaxed vibe, feel free to wear your absolute favourite smart casual attire. The key is to wear clothes that make you feel confident and comfortable.
  • Bring a Selection of Clothes:
    Regardless of the style we're aiming for, I encourage you to bring a variety of outfits to the shoot, so that we can efficiently explore different looks and styles.

Rest

Get a good night sleep before your session to look your freshest.

We’ll have a relaxed, unrushed private session where I’ll coach you through how to get a great, genuine, and engaging look that captures your unique personality.

The Wrap-Up

At the end of your session, we’ll go through photos together and I’ll help you select the best shots. Finalized images will be professionally retouched and delivered to you within 6ix business days.

Pricing Details

The studio fee for private sessions is BBD$300 and BBD$100 per selected image (professionally retouched, color-corrected, and cropped in various formats, including a high-resolution folder for printing options). Payment can be made by direct local transfer, cheque or cash. We will send payment information with the delivery of your images.
