Headshot Prep Tips for Men

I hope you're excited for your upcoming headshot session! To help you look your best, I wanted to share a few tips: 

Hair

Try to get fresh haircut or trim if you’re due for one. On the day, style your hair the way you typically would for a professional setting, so your headshots look natural and true you.

Beard

If you wear a beard, make sure it’s well- groomed. You might consider trimming and defining the edges so it looks neat and polished.

For those with stubble, decide if you’d like a clean-shaven look or the stubble; either way, aim for consistency so it doesn’t look patchy.

Wardrobe

• Avoid Busy Patterns & Textures:
  Opt for clothing with solid colours or subtle patterns to avoid distractions and keep the focus on you.
• For Business or Corporate Headshots:
  If you're aiming for a professional look, I recommend wearing your favourite suit or business attire. Choose your crispest shirt and don't forget your go-to tie to add a touch of personality. We can also take shots without the tie for a more relaxed look.
• Attention to Detail:
  Ensure all your clothes are cleaned and pressed before the shoot. Pay particular attention to older shirts with soft or floppy collars, as well as those that fit too loosely around the neck.
• Smart Casual Option:
  If we're going for a more relaxed vibe, feel free to wear your absolute favourite smart casual attire. The key is to wear clothes that make you feel confident and comfortable.
• Bring a Selection of Clothes:
  Regardless of the style we're aiming for, I encourage you to bring a variety of outfits to the shoot, so that we can efficiently explore different looks and styles.

Rest

Get a good night sleep before your session to look your freshest.

We’ll have a relaxed, unrushed private session where I’ll coach you through how to get a great, genuine, and engaging look that captures your unique personality.

The Wrap-Up

At the end of your session, we’ll go through photos together and I’ll help you select the best shots. Finalized images will be professionally retouched and delivered to you within 6ix business days.

Pricing Details

The studio fee for private sessions is BBD$300 and BBD$100 per selected image (professionally retouched, color-corrected, and cropped in various formats, including a high-resolution folder for printing options). Payment can be made by direct local transfer, cheque or cash. We will send payment information with the delivery of your images.
